Gordon Price has written a thoughtful and important discussion piece about the implications of the City’s UNDRIP strategy that all citizens should read and understand.
Some of the recommended actions in the COV strategy document move power over city issues away from civic institutions with elected leaders and others recommend sharing of power with the three Indigenous communities of MST that are accountable to their nations and not Vancouver citizens. Others provide for turning city lands over to the First Nations and implementation of First Nations Laws.
